Sports Activities

Diving: In recent years Kaş become one of the important Diving Centres in the world. Diving Clubs in the harbour are computing with each other to show the ancient sunkens to local or foreign tourists.

There are amazing sea caves around Kaş. It is possible to swim or dive for technical purpose in some of them. These are; Kekova Island Sea Cave, Aşırlı Island Sea Cave, Güvercin İni Sea Cave, and Mavi Mağara (Blue Cave), the most famous is this. Blue Cave is 19 kms far from Kaş and 6 kms far from Kalkan.

Paragliding: Recent searches show that with its climate and land forms Kaş is one of the most suitable cities for Paragliding in Türkiye. Flights are controlled by the experts.

Canoe ; Eşen Stream, which is 45 kms far from Kaş, is really suitable for canoeing. Tourism Agencies make canoe tours. The tour starts from Kınık and people pass nearly 15 kms by canoe and reach Patara Beach. It is not dangerous because Eşen Stream flows calmly. There is a wonderful plant cover and view of the river sides. There are breaks for lunch, swimming and mud bath.

You go to Üçağız from Kaş by cars to canoeing on the sea. There, you get on canoes and start you tour to Sunken City, Simena, Historical Places and Natural Beauties. There are breaks for lunch and swimming. The tour takes 4 hours and it is really enjoyable.

Nature Walk; Kaş offers you routes for walking because Ancient Likya cities aren't far from each other. Yarımada (Peninsula), Limanağzı, Gedife Hill, Phellos, Gökçeören, Mount Asaz and Gömbe Plateau are some of the walking tracks.

Blue Cruise; Kaş is one of the important stops and starts of Blue Cruises. There are water, electricity, oil, shower and laundry oppurtunities for the boats that accomodate in Kaş Harbour.

Fishing ; There is the cleanest water of Mediterranean Sea in Kaş. Because of this fishing progressed there. Coral, lobster, bonito, gray mullet, grouper, red mullet are the most hunted kinds. Also fishers catch octopus and sell to the restaurants. In recent years, fish farms in Gömbe and Saklıkent were put into service.

Beaches ; Bright yellow sands and blue sea meet in Kaş's beaches. Küçükçakıl, Büyükçakıl, Akçagerme and Limanağzı are important beaches and they are suitable for swimming fans. A natural Beauty, Kaputaş is 19kms far from Kaş. The most important features of Kapataş are 192 stairs from way to sea, golden blond colour of the sand and all tones of blue which shine by the sun.
